We offer an extensive foundation learning curriculum, with specialist teaching and support staff for learners with a range of specific and general learning difficulties and/or disabilities. In addition to this our broad curriculum can be accessed by all learners with appropriate support, help and guidance to meet the students’ individual needs. We have courses ranging from Entry Level 1 to Degree Level. Application & transition The College has an applications policy and procedure. Our Information and Guidance (IAG) offers opportunities for students to view the College and its facilities before applying for a course are available through open days, taster events, enrolment events or in some cases by arranged visits. The curriculum If you are unsure about what you want to do or need further support, or qualifications, before taking the next step we can offer you a range of courses with various levels to suit your requirements. Teaching & learning All full time 16-18 year old students will follow a Study Programme which consists of a subject specific qualification, maths and english, preperation for work or Higher Education and enrichment. Assessment & progress A range of assessment techniques are available to students with additional support needs. Support & contacts The College has a Curriculum Manager responsible for Learning Support and a Team Leader for Learning Support who work across the Curriculum and in conjunction with the vocational staff to ensure all students have access to support as required.
