Information for new students about GCSE results and enrolment

We are aware that many applicants are concerned and worried about their GCSE results. We would like to reassure you that we will accept your school’s Centre Assessed Grades and there is a place for you here at New College Durham. We will use these grades to ensure you are enrolled on the right programme so you can succeed at college.

Enrolment

All enrolments are being completed virtually via our remote Information and Enrolment Centre, so there is no need to come into college. We have enrolled students throughout the summer and you can call us to complete your enrolment daily between 10am – 2pm, and also between 4.30 – 6.30pm on Tuesdays. We are operating extended hours for GCSE results day and the following day:

Thursday 20 August 9am-5pm
Friday 21 August 9am-4.30pm

Following the announcement about BTEC grades being delayed, we would like to reassure students that you can still enrol at the College prior to receiving these.

Our ASC (Advice Support Careers) team are available during the Information and Enrolment Centre opening hours either via Live Chat or over the phone.
