Describe your academic experience:

I have an MBA from Durham University (with Distinction) and have taught in Higher Education for over 10 years.

Describe your experience working in industry/the workplace:

I worked for KPMG for over 20 years in both the UK and the USA as a professional adviser. I have extensive experience working in business having worked with the Probation Service, The Police Authority, Durham University, two local NHS Foundation Trusts and a local Housing Association since leaving KPMG.

Describe your role at New College Durham:

I am Curriculum Manager for the BA (Hons) Management degree, in addition to teaching on this course I teach AAT and Housing students.

Why did you decide to teach at New College Durham?

I enjoy the teaching, learning and assessment element of the teaching role.

What is the best part of your job?

Student achievement.

What are your research areas/interests?

All aspects of business but more specifically finance and governance.

Recent projects involve working as a non-executive director in several local organisations.
