Describe your academic experience:

I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics, French and German at A-Level and achieved 5 A grades. I went on to study Maths with Modern Languages at University College London and achieved a First Class BSc (Hons). I also studied Secondary Mathematics PGCE and achieved a Distinction in all assignments.

What industry experience do you have?

I worked as an accountant for KPMG.

Describe your role at New College Durham:

I am Maths Lecturer for A-Level Maths and Further Maths and GCSE mathematics.

Why did you decide to teach at the Sixth Form Centre at New College Durham?

I enjoy teaching post-16 and enjoy the variety and breadth of teaching in a college.

What is the best part of your job?

Great students and a diverse working role.

What has been your best moment at New College Durham?

Our maths trip to London with some A-Level mathematicians.  It was a great day with a genuinely hilarious maths comedian (unlikely though it sounds).

What inspires you?

Good students and sunny weather!
