Course: Access to HE (Humanities)

Previous school: Fyndoune Community College

Sarah said choosing New College Durham was easy because we offered a course that fulfilled her interests, and would help her progress to study at university.

She said:

“New College Durham was close to home and offered a course that suited me perfectly. I loved the campus itself, it was very modern and a great environment to study in.

“The tutors helped me a lot, they were always enthusiastic and definitely motivated me to do well. Being offered a place at Durham University made all the hard work worth it.

“I have graduated from Durham University twice since leaving New College Durham. I was awarded a 1st Class Honours in (BA) Criminology, and have recently graduated a second time with an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

“When I look back on my experience at New College Durham, I remember it as being fun, life-changing, and very helpful as it helped me achieve my goals!”

Sarah progressed to Durham University and graduated with a first class honours in BA(Hons) Criminology. She has now completed MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice also at Durham University.
