Susan Bowman

Course: AAT Level 3 & 4
Previous school: Sunderland College

Susan described her experience at New College Durham as enjoyable, informative and friendly.  She liked being able to study on a part-time basis, with the option of attending classes on an afternoon or evening.

She said:

“I decided to study at New College Durham due to the convenient times of classes and the location of the college.  The best thing was the flexibility of the classes i.e. the option of being able to catch up on an evening if you were unable to attend a class during the day. The facilities at the college were good and always nice and clean.

“The best thing about the course was the end outcome as it has enable me to set up my own business, which had been my goal from the outset.

“I would like to say that all of the lecturers were great, and very friendly, and went out of their way to provide extra resources that were useful when revising or to help with homework. Any queries were always answered swiftly. I would highly recommend New College Durham, in fact I have to my current employer and we now have an apprentice studying there!”

Susan is continuing to work as an Accounts Officer at Clifford Chapman Staircases Ltd while establishing a self-employed business in accountancy on a part-time basis.
