Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to join our Chastleton Medical Group. Location: Chastleton Medical Group
Salary: £6.40 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
Education: One day per week at college (Wednesday)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for assisting with administrative tasks across different areas of the practice, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Administration Apprentice, your role will involve:
1. Departmental Experience:
Rotating through different departments within the medical group to gain a broad understanding of all operational areas.
Conducting Safety Incident Reporting Management System (SIRMS) tasks.
Managing mandatory training records for the medical group.
2. Reception Duties:
Registering new patients and temporary residents.
Greeting and directing patients and visitors.
Making appointments and handling repeat prescription requests.
Recording and sending internal and external messages.
Supporting clinicians during surgery sessions.
Collecting payments for non-NHS services and handling general enquiries and complaints.
Scanning, filing, and managing lab link requests.
Handling non-NHS report requests, including payment processing.
Managing incoming tasks from both internal and external sources.
3. Medical Secretary Support:
Assisting with tasks such as processing referrals.
4. Data Management:
Coding medical conditions and summarizing medical records.
5. Pharmacy Support:
Booking medication reviews to manage workload.
Creating searches and protocols for clinicians.
Managing batch messaging on Accurx for patient communications, including flu and shingles vaccination invitations.
6. General Responsibilities:
Inputting and extracting information from the practice's computer system.
Adhering to health & safety guidelines at all times.
Ensuring general housekeeping, including keeping reception and waiting areas tidy.
Undertaking any other reasonable duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
A keen interest in healthcare and administration.
Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently within a team.
Proficiency in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office and practice management systems (training will be provided).
