This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to perform a range of body massages for clients.

You will explore relevant industry specific techniques and will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work with industry professionals.


This course aims to provide you with the practical and theoretical knowledge and skills required to perform body massages to clients. You will work on real clients to undertake your summative assessments using a range of massage techniques and mediums.

Teaching & assessment

You will be assigned a personal tutor for the duration of your course. You will carry out practical assessments with your tutor once you feel you are ready to be assessed. The assessments will be carried out at various points in the course.

Each unit will involve one assignments. You will be required to provide some clients and models throughout the course to work on, so that you can maximise your learning and explore the skills you have been learning.

Maths and English

As this is a full cost course you will not be required to undertake any formal maths or English qualification. The course does however promote opportunities to develop and enhance these skills.

You will explore relevant industry specific techniques and you will work with industry professionals.


Due to the nature of the course, you will not be required to undertake a work placement, we do recommend that you continue your studies outside of your course so that you can perfect your skills further.

You could progress into employment or self-employment within the industry.

Additional Costs

If you need to register to take the mandatory Health & Safety Award, you will need to pay an additional cost of £33.00. This is only payable if you haven't already got a certificate in Health & Safety, relating to the hair and beauty industry.

You can purchase a uniform at £36.00 (plus P+P £4.95), however this is optional.

Entry Criteria

No formal beauty qualifications needed to study this course, it would be advantageous to have some interest in the sector.
