T-Level in Supporting Healthcare
Our T-Level Technical Qualification in Supporting Healthcare has been developed in collaboration with employers, professional bodies, universities and businesses to ensure you are prepared for the world of work or further study.
If you are not quite ready to enter directly on to a T-Level after GCSEs, or don’t get the grades you were expecting, then don’t worry. A tailored transition year will be available, designed to help you gain the necessary knowledge, skills and qualifications to progress on to your chosen T-Level.
This option will be discussed with you when you meet your tutor.
- +Entry requirements
You will hold GCSEs at grade 5 in maths, English and a science. You will also have a clear DBS.
You will need to be able to commit to an industry placement of at least 45 days.
- +Teaching and assessment
Teaching will be a variety of classroom based, self-study and workplace learning activities. Assessment is both formative and summative, and will include a range of methods, including:
- Peer and self-assessment
- Synoptic projects
- An employer-based project
Your industry placement is assessed through your performance in the workplace by your work-based supervisor and your tutor.
- +Work placement
The T-Level is 80% classroom-based learning and 20% industry placement. You will undertake a minimum of 315 hours of work placement in industry.
You will always perform to the best of your ability and conduct yourself in a professional manner as if an employee of your placement organisation.

Our employers work with us to support curriculum design, live projects, work placements, guest speaking, educational trips and visits and competitions.
All of these activities help to enhance the teaching and learning experience and ensure relevance to curriculum content helping ensure you gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected.
