Quality Engineer Apprentice

The Quality Engineer will engage in the research and development of both current and new materials, testing them to ensure compliance with required standards and supporting all aspects of the quality system. Additionally, the engineer will research and communicate chemical compliance information to our customers. 

 

Key duties: 

• Conduct all material tests.

• Document and finalise all test results.

• Fulfill all product compliance requests.

• Investigate new materials.

• Collaborate with the Quality Manager and team on 8D projects.

• Support the team with improvement initiatives.

• Substitute for the Quality Administrator when necessary.

• Maintain daily "right first time" information.

• Provide assistance with audits.

• Manage and complete any ISO 9001 and 14001 records. 

 

Key skills and attributes: 

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.

• Skilled in report writing.

• Capable of working independently once tasks are assigned.

• Strong communication skills.

• Effective in planning and organizing workload.

• Adept at problem-solving.

• High attention to detail.

• Data analysis.

 

Working hours per week: 

• Monday - Thursday, 7.45am - 4.15pm
• Friday, 7.45am - 1.45pm
• No weekends 
• Flexible around core hours if needed 

 

Hourly rate: 

• £12.20 per hour
