16-18 Free College meals
You are likely to be eligible for the scheme if you:
- are aged 16-18
- are enrolled on a full time course
- have previously claimed free school meals whilst at school
- if you are eligible for free meals, you will be eligible for bursary support.
The college allowance is set at £5 per day of study.
16 – 18 Supported meals
If you would like to receive meal support whilst in college but you are not eligible through the free meal route you can use bursary funding to support if you
- have a household income of less than £60,000
- complete a bursary form (submit fully completed with relevant evidence)

19+ Supported meals
If you would like to receive meal support whilst in college you can use bursary funding to support if you
- meet the eligibility threshold for 19+ bursary support
- have a household income of less than £32,000
- complete a bursary form (submit fully completed with relevant evidence)

The college uses UPay which is an app that is downloaded and loaded with a daily amount.
Terms & Conditions
Free meals are provided to make sure you are able to get breakfast and lunch whilst studying at college.
The college has the right to explore individual student expenditure, and if it is identified that the money is not being used for the purpose for which it is intended, this being the reason why you are unable to spend your allowance at quickeats.
There have been occasions of misuse which will also prevent further restrictions to limit purchasing to avoid bulk buying of any item.
If it is identified that there has been any fraudulent use of meal support, the support you receive will be stopped, pending further investigation.
