“When I started studying I was also working 1-1 as a Teaching Assistant in a local primary school and being a mother of two children with a diagnosis of Autism.
Whilst studying, Amy also juggled working full-time as a Teaching Assistant in a local primary school and looking after her two children.
She said:
“I knew studying at New College Durham would take me on the journey to fulfilling my dream of becoming a Primary School Teacher, I was so impressed with the course and the knowledge and deeper understanding of education that I gained.

“I chose to resit GCSE Maths to gain a place on the BA (Hons) Education & Training top-up degree, I would recommend the Education courses to everyone, the knowledge and experience I have gained has made me a real contender when applying for jobs.
“I am currently a student at the University of Sunderland, studying for my PgCE with QTS.
