T-Level Childcare & Education
Mia chose to study at NCD because she wanted to do a T-Level.
She said:
“I decided to study at New College Durham as it was one of the first colleges to offer T-Levels and I thought the course would provide me with exciting opportunities. I really enjoyed studying at NCD because the staff were helpful and supportive throughout my course. The T-Level course was also perfect for me, it was exam based rather than coursework which was more beneficial for me too.
“One of the best things about studying at NCD has to be the support I received. My tutors were there for me throughout the course. The campus and facilities are also modern and there is a nice atmosphere.
“In addition to my industry placement, I took part in Children in Need fundraising activities and visited the coast to do a beach clean. I also did taster sessions at open events to promote the T-Level course to schools.
Mia progressed to study a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies at NCD’s University Centre, she continued:
“I hope to become a teacher so progressed to the childhood studies degree at NCD in the University Centre building. I am also working three days a week alongside the course at a private nursery.”
Mia is excited about continuing her journey with New College Durham.
