FdA Childhood Studies & Professional Practice to BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies (Top-up)
Samantha joined NCD as a mature student thanks to recommendations from colleagues.
She said:
“NCD’s University Centre was very appealing as it offers personal small class sizes and the flexibility of studying part-time on evenings. The early years degree at NCD had also been professionally recommended by colleagues who had graduated.
“My lecturers were brilliant, and I received outstanding support and guidance throughout my time at NCD. This and the incentives greatly supported my success on the degree.
“Deciding to study as a mature student and a parent stemmed from motivation to develop professionally and personally. Learning brought a great sense of achievement and now I am working as a Lecturer in Early Years and Education at New College Durham.
“New College Durham has supported me to gain invaluable experience as a Further Education Lecturer. I am continuing to study to achieve a Masters in Education to become a Higher Education Lecturer. My tutor, Alison, has helped me immensely on my journey.”
Samantha is now working as a Lecturer in Early Years & Education whilst studying a masters degree.
