Access to HE (Education)
“I decided to study at New College Durham because I was ready to get back into education and the College was close to my home. The range of courses available really appealed to me.
Sophie was drawn to our Education Studies diploma because she wanted to progress to university.
She said:
“I liked the fact that people on the course were in a similar position to me, and the fact there were no exams. This meant all the work I submitted as coursework was a true reflection of my understanding, not a test of my memory. The facilities were also very nice - all clean and modern – and I received outstanding support from my tutors.
“I had such an enriching and inspiring experience at New College Durham and secured a place at Newcastle University to study a combined honours degree in French, Spanish and Education. I have deferred my place to take a gap year, travelling around Australia.”
Sophie will study French, Spanish and Education at Newcastle University when she returns from her gap year to Australia.
