A generous annual leave entitlement - ranging from 27 to 44 days depending whether you work as support, management or teaching staff. Plus eight Bank and Public Holidays
Christmas closure period - In addition to annual leave entitlement, NCD has a closure week for Christmas. Some staff do not have to take holidays for this period.
Pension - NCD offers two defined pension schemes depending on the type of role undertaken. NCD’s contribution to the Teachers' Pension Scheme is currently 28.68%, and 20.40% to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Free access to counselling - NCD has an onsite team available to both staff and students to offer a confidential counselling service.
Free on-site parking - NCD has ample on-site parking free of charge to all staff and students.
Learning and development opportunities - NCD recognises the importance of professional development and offers opportunities to complete training courses, development programmes, online learning and development activities. This includes mentoring for those who want to get into teaching.
Enhanced Learning offer - to support you as a new member of teaching staff at NCD, we provide an extensive coaching programme. Our coaching model is designed to develop specific teaching skills through one-to-one and coaching sessions.
