Tutor Support

Higher Education (HE) Academic Support Tutor

At the start of your course, you will be introduced to a range of higher education skills which you will develop throughout your studies. These include critical thinking, using suitable resources to support your work, referencing, and presentation skills. Developing some of these key skills can be a little daunting at first, but you will become proficient at them with practice.

To support you with your study skills development, our HE Academic Support Tutor is based in the University Centre and is available for 1:1 tutorials and group sessions. This support may be particularly useful in the early days of your HE studies as you become accustomed to the skill set required, however you can access this support at any point of your course.

The HE Academic Support Tutor can be contacted directly, through your Course Leader or Personal Tutor. Your study skills development is integral to your HE studies, so please do not hesitate to ask for academic support throughout your time at the College. We are here to help you achieve your course qualification.
