Course Overview
Health and safety hazards, regulations and legislation including COSHH/risk assessments and method statements and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Safe systems of work and control measures. Planning work schedules and time management, understand the sustainability issues in projects across economic, social and environmental aspects. understand the importance of project planning and resourcing, manage the day to day performance of staff. Able to define the quality required on a finished construction project.
Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours. Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects. Implement and monitor safe systems of work and control measures. Interpret and extract information from drawings, specifications and the production plan to provide work instructions. Apply planning, work scheduling and time management techniques Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers. Organise and delegate activities and resources Ensure that resources (materials and equipment) are used efficiently
