Course Overview
Health and safety hazards, regulations and legislation including COSHH/risk assessments and method statements and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Types of construction methods, insulation considerations, sustainability and air pollution.
Preparation of materials Interpret drawings and specifications. Mix and lay construction materials to set dimensions in conjunction with site drawings. Ensure waste is minimalised and recycling is in place. Set out and lay block paving, concreting, cavity walling, drain inspection chambers to lines and levels.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to take this Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction) qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
