Study Aims

This hybrid and electric vehicle repair qualification is designed for those looking to develop their knowledge and skills to allow them to safely carry out the removal and replacement of components on electric vehicle systems.

Modules Studied

This qualification covers the competence and knowledge to safely carry out the removal and replacement of components in isolated high voltage systems in an electric vehicle. High voltage systems include the powertrain and ancillary systems.

This qualification also ensures that candidates are aware of the effect that high voltage component technology has on other vehicle systems.

You will study the following units:

  • Knowledge of Removing and Replacing Components in an Electric Vehicle High Voltage Powertrain and Ancillary Systems
  • Skills in Removing and Replacing Components in an Electric Vehicle High Voltage Powertrain and Ancillary Systems

Teaching and Assessment

Teaching and assessment will be split between classroom and workshop lessons.

All classrooms and workshops have state-of-the-art facilities and the latest interactive display screens and online resources to support your learning.

The multiple-choice online test will be scheduled only once you have completed the knowledge unit and you are ready to take the assessment.

The practical assessment for the Skills in Removing and Replacing Components in an Electric Vehicle High Voltage Powertrain and Ancillary Systems unit will be undertaken once you have passed the Evolve on-line test for the first unit and gained sufficient practice in order to fairly attempt the practical assessment to the best of your ability.
