FREE (If meet residency criteria and not enrolled at another educational institution).

If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, not enrolled at another educational institution and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years, your course will be FREE. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.

If you are aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, not enrolled at another educational institution and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years, your course could be free dependant on the level of the course and your eligibility criteria. This patisserie and confectionery course is suitable for you if you have little or no experience. It covers basic craft skills and focuses on pastry items.

This full-time course will prepare you to progress to a relevant Level 3 course or apprenticeship, or employment.

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths or Functional Skills Level 1

Study Aims

Develop your patisserie and confectionery skills, as well as an awareness of health and food safety in the catering industry.

This full-time patisserie and confectionery course will give you the opportunity to bake biscuits, cakes and sponge products. You will also create hot and cold desserts, paste products and fermented dough products.

This course is designed for those who work or want to work as Patisserie Chefs in the catering and hospitality sector.
