This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out a wide range of make-up, lash and nail treatments.
Prepare to work in the beauty industry - train in our fully equipped beauty salons to build your skills and confidence. You will work with real clients to further develop your skills to industry standards.
Entry Criteria
4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths or Functional Skills Level 1
Entry Criteria
You must have good communication skills, as well as the desire to work within the industry.
You will complete a theory and practical skill tests to assess your suitability to the course.
Additional Costs
You will be required to purchase a uniform and kit for your course. Information on prices for these items will be shared at your meet the tutor chat.
Additionally, as part of your course you will be expected to pay £20 towards trips and visits and a £5 deposit for a locker.

Times of Delivery

Teaching and Assessment
You will complete practical assessments with your tutor once you feel ready to be assessed. The assessments will be carried out at various points in the year. Each unit will involve assignments, external exams and practical observations.
You will be required to provide clients and models throughout the year to work on, so that you can maximise your learning and explore the skills you have been learning. You will also be expected to work on external members of the public.
The programme will combine one theory session and three practical sessions, as well as one independent client session, per week. You will face a theoretical and practical assessment on completion of each unit.
You will be supported by your personal tutor and can request additional support from a Personal Learning Coach (PLC).
You could secure a full-time role in a salon or freelance, or progress to study a relevant Level 3 beauty course at NCD.
