Michael’s dyslexia was properly diagnosed during his time at New College Durham, “everything suddenly made sense to me,” says Michael, “and before long they were asking me to audition for places like Mountview and ArtsEd.”
When asked about the move from NCD to ArtsEd Michael added, “The transition was seamless. I felt the course and the staff at NCD really prepared me for my training at Arts Ed specifically in my acting and singing. I felt that the course at NCD really instilled professional standards (respect and discipline) that was required in the profession.
“Returning to New College Durham brought back wonderful memories, filling me with nostalgia and a sense of pride. I am delighted to see the college championing and supporting the performing arts, which is a testament to the outstanding work of the lecturers.”
