Our first-year foundation degree sport students visited CrossFit All Out as part of their strength and conditioning unit, to demonstrate competence in a range of exercises and lifts.
Crossfit incorporates elements of weightlifting, gymnastics and cardio for a high-intensity workout. The Crossfit community is supportive and coaches offer a range of sessions, including beginner-friendly workouts so you can learn proper form and technique.
The group met with Crossfit coaches, Tez and Vicki, at Crossfit All Out.
Tez is a British Thai boxing champion and is experienced in Olympic lifting. Crossfit athlete and USA games competitor, Vicki, has a background in gymnastics.
Tez and Vicki taught the group a variety of Olympic lifts and functional exercises. The group will be returning to Crossfit All Out for a gymnastics session.
